  • Take Our Attendance to the Next Level!

Our new attendance incentive, which will occur between April and continue through to the end of the school year, will challenge your child to be present every single day until the end of the year.

To make it more fun we have established several rewards for those classrooms and grade levels that have the highest attendance rate in the school.  A classroom will win a pizza party for the best attendance rate, the grade level with the best attendance rate will receive free ice cream, and any student with perfect attendance until the end of the year will receive a very special end of the year celebration!

Attendance is paramount to student achievement.  Students who miss ten percent of school, JUST 18 OR MORE DAYS IN A SCHOOL YEAR, are considered chronically absent.  This harms academic achievement while students who do regularly attend school are more likely to:
    • Graduate and go on to college
    • Learn to read by the critical 3rd grade milestone.
    • Score higher on important Standardized Tests
    • Increased confidence both socially and academically
    • It helps to build good habits that will follow the student later on into life.
    • Helps to break the cycle of Poverty
