Community and Adults in Rochester Employment and Education Resource System (C.A.R.E.E.R.S.)
C.A.R.E.E.R.S. is a workforce development initiative that serves adults receiving TANF/Safety Net Public Assistance. Academic classwork coupled with a variety of work experiences are offered leading to entry level employment opportunities. Classes improve English language literacy or support attainment of the New York State High School Equivalency Diploma Program. Each micro-enterprise work experience provides the opportunity to learn entrepreneurial and foundation skills needed for employment in today’s workforce.

The Apprentice Related Supplemental Instruction Program (ARSIP)
OACES registers apprentices and monitors the progress of participants as they complete related instruction for the NYS Department of Labor Apprenticeship program.

    Career Awareness Program (CAP)
OACES offers free evening workshops covering topics from “Hot Jobs” to “Becoming a Notary” to all City of Rochester residents. Participants can work on updating resumes, practicing job interviewing, and obtaining computer skills that will help them find and maintain work.
