Elizabeth Cross has spent thirteen years working in education in the Rochester City School District.  Previous to becoming an Assistant Principal she served in the roles of elementary teacher, intervention and prevention teacher, PBS coach and district level instructional coach. Through these roles she has had the opportunity to work in both K-6 and K-8 buildings across the district with most of her time served in School #7, the Children’s School of Rochester and School #19.

Mrs. Cross holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in District and Building Leadership from SUNY Oswego, a M.S. in Elementary Literacy from Walden University and a B.S. in Childhood Education from SUNY Oswego.

She firmly believes that all students can learn and achieve academic success when provided with engaging, relevant and rigorous instruction differentiated to individual needs, in a learning environment that supports the social emotional well-being of each child.
