Marlene BlockerEast EPO Superintendent
Marlene Blocker is the Superintendent of the East EPO. Ms. Blocker grew up in Greece, NY. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education. She then earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Brockport and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from St. John Fisher College. Ms. Blocker started her career teaching elementary school in Canton, Ohio and then moved to Rochester where she taught elementary school for 10 years. She served as an Assistant Principal for one year at John Walton Spencer School No. 16, and as the Principal of Francis Parker School No. 23 for 8 years. Ms. Blocker was the Founding Principal of the Rochester Early College International High School for five years and Mrs. Blocker was the Principal of East Upper School for the past 8 years.
