Jeffrey J. Halsdorfer Grade 8 Lower School Vice Principal
Jeffrey J. Halsdorfer serves as one of the Lower School Vice-Principals at East. He is a Buffalo native who moved to Rochester 18 years ago to begin his career as an elementary school teacher. Mr. Halsdorfer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Fredonia State University, Master’s in Advance Teaching from Geneseo State University, and a certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from Brockport State University. Most recently, he served as Principal of Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School in Rochester for eight years. Prior to that, he served the Rochester City School District as an elementary teacher, instructional coach and Learning Community Specialist. Over his career, he has proven to be a student-centered leader who believes his skills and expertise will effectively support East’s vision and mission.
