    On Wednesday, May 17th, the RCSD Office of Early Childhood is inviting new PreK families to a special evening with us at the Seneca Park Zoo! This exciting opportunity will allow your child and up to 3 additional family members to enjoy a night of PreK fun in the unique and enriching setting that only the zoo can provide! Please note that this is a FREE event that is intended for families of children that will be entering PreK in September 2023. The Seneca Park Zoo is located at 2222 St. Paul Street, and the event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
     
    We will have activities for science, literacy, math, and music that your child will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy. Parents will also have the chance to access valuable resources and information that will help better prepare you for your child's PreK experience.
     
    If you know other families with a child/children that will turn 3 or 4 years old by December 1st, 2023, please let them know that they can also register their child for PreK in the fall, while attending this event. We will have members of our PreK registration staff on site to assist families with this process if they have not yet signed their child up. In order to register your child for RCSD Pre-K while at the event, you must be a city resident and bring the following required documentation to complete your child's application:
     
    • Copy of your child's birth certificate
    • Valid photo ID (of parent that child resides with)
    • Proof of residence
